Economic Development in Arviat is headed by the Director of Community Development and the Community Economic Development Officer (CEDO), supported the SAO, Hamlet Council, and the Community Economic Development (CED) Committee.

The CEDO works with the CED Committee to support local businesses, employment, and other economic activity.
Funding and resources are available for new and existing businesses, harvesters, artists, and projects that support the local economy.
Training and Employment
The Training and Employment Coordinator is available to help members of the public with job searches, resume writing, etc. Residents are welcome to contact the Training and Employment Coordinator or the CEDO for assistance with job searches, resume writing, information about training opportunities, etc.
Businesses and companies can also contact the Training and Employment Coordinator or CEDO for assistance with local hiring and information about local businesses.

Hamlet of Arviat Resource Centre
The Hamlet of Arviat Resource Centre contains an office as well as training and meeting facilities. Space is available to rent, subject to availability. Please contact the CEDO or Training and Employment Coordinator to request a booking.
